Art Gallery of Nova Scotia (AGNS) reopens with two new exhibitions. Located on Hollis Street, the Gallery is opening with Mitchell Wiebe’s: VampSites and Denyse Thomasos: Just Beyond. in addition to favorites like the Maud Lewis Gallery already there.
Yacht reportedly owned by 'Harry Potter' author JK Rowling docked in Bishop’s Landing, Halifax. The $150 million USD yacht ‘The Samsara’ was sold to Rowling in 2023. It has been reportedly been chartered out since purchase, and it is not believed that Rowling herself is currently in Halifax.
One of Bruce Springsteen’s band members coming to Halifax. Catch Boss’s sax player Jake Clemmons at the Carlton on August 8. for a special solo show.
Progress is being made on New School Lunch Program in Nova Scotia. The $18.8-million investment for the 2024-2025 school year will support well-being of students throughout Nova Scotia and in rural areas.
