•  🦈 Shark Week. 'Great White North' explores possible great white shark hot spot in Nova Scotia. Discovery's Shark Week features a captivating, shocking and breathtaking Canadian story with the documentary Great White North
  

• 👩🏻‍⚕️ Screening for cancer. Nova Scotia plans to follow the lead of other provinces in the way it screens for cervical cancer. But the switch from Pap smears to testing for HPV is at least two years away.

• 🦽 Special Olympics. Nova Scotia's Provincial Summer Games kicks off this weekend. Hundreds of athletes and coaches are heading to Acadia University in Wolfville for the event. 

• 🐻 An unwanted guest. Poters lake sees a rise in bear sightings. We’re hearing reports [of] West Porter, Mineville, and even Cole Harbour have caught bears on the door bell cameras going by their yards.
